7 day Silence - Yoga - Detox Retreat

14 - 20 January 2019

What it is

Tijn Touber and Juno Burger will accompany you on your journey into a week of healing, clarifying and illuminating silence.
For seven days, you don’t have to do anything other than be yourself. You do not have to talk, act funny, earn respect or be successful. The less you do, the more you are. In the silence, you will come home in the eye of the storm, the quiet space behind your busy mind and limiting conditioning. You will contact your original blueprint, know who you are, what to do and gain access to the healing and inspiring field that connects us all. During this retreat, the participants will not speak.

After the official introduction on the day of arrival, the silence will be started, after which the participants will not speak for the rest of the program. Every morning we will start with traditional Ashtanga yoga as a preparation for meditation. Each day we will make a silent walk in the beautiful surroundings of Mandali. Throughout the day there is Me-Time, a time to lumber and make yourself admissible for inspiration and clarity.

This week Daphne will teach a morning practice based on the Astanga Primary series. Astanga is a fixed series of postures that merge into one another in a dynamic and fluid sequence through movement and breathing. Because you do the same postures every day, your body will remember this. You can also call it muscle memory. In Astanga the ujjayi breathing technique is practiced witch become the primary focus of this practice. If you are new to this form of Yoga it can be a big challenge to keep feeling where your limits lie. It is therefore really advisable to realize that you have nothing to prove and that you can also leave ambition aside. Explore your boundaries but respect your limitations knowing that you can always come to Childpose for as long as necessary. Yoga is about connecting body, mind and spirit. It is perhaps the biggest challenge to let it happen instead of
“making”it happen.
Yin Yoga is a practice that brings together the 3 bodies: the physical, astral (feelings, emotions) and mental (thoughts). These are knit together through our meridians and chakra’s. Yin is also a practice of awareness and letting go. It is a physical healing practice which stimulates Chi flow through our connective tissue and stimulates mobility in our joints while relaxing our muscles. It clears the channels of the nervous system and meridians, which will have a calming effect on the body and mind. You can observe everything that takes place within
you while you are in the pose with a deeper understanding of all that comes and goes (anicha, this to will pass.) without labelling or identifying with that what IS as we cultivate a practice of being in the moment. Having a direct experience with truth.

In the daily inspiration class, Tijn and Juno will share insights and techniques that you can use to calm your mind, feel grounded and let your energy flow more freely. Also, you will be handed tools that you can use to deal with what presents, being in silence. In addition to the guided mediations and instructions during the yoga
classes, this is the only moment where the facilitators will speak, the participants are completely silent throughout the week.

Later in the afternoon there will be a yin-yoga class in preparation for the last meditation of the day.

After dinner, there is time for you to relax, enjoy the many Body Care Centre facilities or find a deep sleep.
During the retreat, you can receive a personal energetic clearing from Juno, helping you to release old tension which also supports you in the detox process, both physically, emotionally and mentally (included in the price).

During the retreat, you will be served living, medicinal foods that will cheer your system and allow your body to relax, rest and detox. During the retreat, you will not eat meat, fish, dairy, bread and sugar or drink coffee. As much as is seasonably possible all products are of biological grade.
