Conscious Movement

I was born in New Orleans, U.S. and I attended University in Boston where I studied Psychology. I lived in Hawaii for 20 years where I was both a Social Worker and the Director of Marketing and Programs at The Studio Maui, a spiritual center for the healing and movement arts. I was fortunate to meet and produce many well known teachers of consciousness studies. My explorations of awareness through the body and movement deepened during this time through yoga, conscious dance, Argentine tango and other embodiment processes.

I am a long-time meditator having explored both active and stillness practices, using inquiry and body-oriented somatic psychology as a way of understanding more fully the inner workings of the both the mind and emotional body. All of these things colour the way I facilitate movement explorations. My teaching style is heartfelt, humorous, clear and transformative.
My passion is to share with others what it means to me to live a more full and authentic life. I am a counsellor and a certified International Open Floor teacher, a movement school based out of the San Francisco Bay Area. I moved to Europe 7 years ago. I co-founded Conscious Dance Italy, a resource-education and production association for Italian dancers. On most days, I can be lost or found in the hillsides of Tuscany.
